Juth holds an M.S.L. (Library Science), an M.A. in sociology, and a Ph. D. in sociology from Western Michigan University. She became Social Sciences Librarian at Hope College in 1970. During her tenure she was involved with the effort to give librarians faculty status, the Young Democrats, the Union of Catholic students, and the Women's Studies major and minor.
